What you need
- 4 cups of blackberries
- 1 cups of raspberries
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of four
- 2 nine inch pie crusts (one for bottom, one for lattice top)
- 2 tablespoons of whole milk
- 1/2 cup white sugar
What you do
- Preheat the oven to 450
- Combine the berries, sugar & flour in a large bowl
- Place one of the pie crusts into the pie dish
- Soon berries into the unbaked pie crust
- Cut the other pie crust into 3/4 inch strips
- Lattice the strips and roll the edges, using your knuckle to crimp the edges
- Brush the top of the pie with the milk
- Sprinkle with remaining sugar
- Bake the pie for 15 mins at 450
- Reduce the heat to 375 and bake for another 25 mins
- Allow to cool. Best when still served warm with vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream
