What you need
- 4 pounds of peeled russet potatoes
- 1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup Williams-Sonoma Truffle Mashed Potato Seasoning
- 1 2/3 cups of warm half and half
- Chives (for garnish)
What you do
- Peel potatoes
- Boil a large pot of water
- Cook potatoes until tender
- Pass potatoes through ricer or mash them
- In a small saucepan over medium-high heat combine butter and seasoning
- Heat until butter melts and begins to foam
- Remove from heat and let stand for 10 mins
- stir the butter into potatoes
- then slowly stir in warm half and half
- Season with salt and pepper
- Garnish with a touch of chives
