What you need
  1. 5 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes
  2. 1/2 cup butter
  3. 2 grated cups Parmesan cheese
  4. 1 cup chopped fresh chives
  5. 1 1/2 cups cream cheese
  6. 1/2 medium head garlic, peeled and minced
  7. 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
What you do
  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add potatoes; cook until tender but still firm.
  3. Drain and return to stove over low heat to dry for 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Add butter, Parmesan cheese, chives, cream cheese, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  5. Use a potato masher to mash until smooth, and serve.
