What you need
  1. 3 cups all-purpose flour
  2. 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder – Tip
  3. 2 tsp baking powder
  4. 1/4 tsp baking soda
  5. 3/4 tsp salt
  6. 3/4 cup ( 1 1/2 sticks) of unsalted butter, softened
  7. 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
  8. 3 large eggs
  9. 1 Tbsp milk or buttermilk
  10. 1 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla
  11. 2 tsp lemon juice
  12. 5 tsp red food coloring
  13. 1 cup white chocolate chips
  14. 1 cup powdered sugar
What you do
  1. In a mixing bowl whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt for 30 seconds, set aside.
  2. In the bowl of an electric stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, whip butter and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy.
  3. Mix in eggs 1 at a time, blending until combined after each addition.
  4. Mix in milk, vanilla bean paste, lemon juice and red food coloring.
  5. With mixer set on low speed, slowly add in dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
  6. Stir in white chocolate chips.
  7. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and chill 2 hours or until firm enough to shape into balls.
  8. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour powdered sugar into a bowl.
  9. Remove dough from refrigerator, using a medium cookie scoop, scoop dough out shape into balls.
  10. Roll cookie dough balls into powdered sugar and evenly coat.
  11. Transfer to parchment paper lined baking sheets, then bake in preheated oven 12 minutes.
  12. Allow to rest on cookie sheet several minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  13. Store in an airtight container.
