For the Cake
  1. 1 box of Pillsbury Moist Supreme Devil's Food Devil's Food Cake Mix
  2. 1 cup of butter milk
  3. 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  4. 4 eggs
For the Frosting
  1. 3 sticks softened butter
  2. 1 pound powdered sugar
  3. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  4. Heavy cream or half and half
  5. Food coloring
  6. Candy Eyes
To make the cupcakes
  1. Preheat the oven to 350
  2. Line the muffin cups with paper liners
  3. Put the cake mix in your mixing bowl
  4. Add in the buttermilk, vegetable, oil, and eggs
  5. Beat until moistened – about 30 seconds
  6. Increase the speed to high and beat until thick – about another 2 mins
  7. Spoon the mix into the liners filling the cups about 2/3 of the way to the top.
  8. Bake for 15-20 mins – until a toothpick poked into the cupcake centers comes out clean.
  9. Remove the cupcakes from the baking plans and allow to cool completely before frosting.
To make the Frosting
  1. In a stand mixer whip the butter and powdered sugar together.
  2. Add in the vanilla extract.
  3. Add in your cream 1 tbs at a time until the buttercream is the consistency you like.
  4. Separate the buttercream into 4 bowls and color each one a different color.
  5. Pipe onto cupcakes.
  6. Add candy eyes.
