How to Crochet the Waves Stitch:

For foundation chain, chain a multiples of 10 ch + 2 ch.Foundation Row
- With Color A Ch intended width
- Turn
Row 1 – Color A

Wave Figure 1
- 1 sc in 1st st from hook
- 1 sc in next st
- 1 hdc in next st
- 1 dc in each of next 5 st
- 1 hdc in next st
- 1 sc in each of next 3 st
- Repeat steps 3 to 6 to the end of the row
- Turn
Row 2 – Color A

Wave Stitch Figure 2
- Repeat Row 3 until the last st
- Do not finish the last st of the row. Leave 2 loops on hook.
- Make a loose loop with the next color B.
- Put the loop over the hook and pull through the 2 loops on the hook. Carry on with the new yarn with your next stitch.
- Turn
Row 3 – Color B, second wave
- Ch 2 times (this counts as 1 dc )
- Skip the first stitch 1 dc in each of the next 2 st
- 1 hdc in next st
- 1 sc in each of next 3 st
- 1 hdc in next st
- 1 dc in each of next 5 st
- Repeat steps 3 to 6 to the end of the row
- Turn
Row 4 – Color B
- Repeat Row 3 until the last st
- Do not finish the last st of the row. Leave 2 loops on hook.
- Make a loose loop with the next color B.
- Put the loop over the hook and pull through the 2 loops on the hook. Carry on with the new yarn with your next stitch.
