How to Crochet the Back Post Double Crochet Stitch:

This technique is a variation of the double crochet but instead of going into the top of the stitch we actually go around the post of the stitch underneath.

1. Chain 2
2. Yarn over hook.
3. Insert hook into back loop of next stitch (see figure 1).
4. Yarn over hook, draw yarn through.
5. Yarn over, draw through first two stitches on hook.
6. Yarn over and draw through the last two stitches on hook. (see figure 2)
