Gatsby Gray Striped Blanket Pattern

This soft modern blanket is great for a cool evening. Classic shades of gray make it go with anything although I designed it to match a nursery. It measures 48 inches by 50 inches.

Foundation Row

1. Using a J 6.00 MM crochet hook Ch 150 of Color A
2. Turn.

Row 1

1. In the second stitch from the hook Dc
2. 1 Dc in each stitch to the end of the foundation chain
3. Turn

Row 2

1. In the second stitch from the hook Sdc
2. 1 Sdc in each stitch to the end of the row
3. Turn

Rows 3 to 9

1. Repeat Row 2 until you have 8 rows of Sdc in Color A
2. Turn

Row 10

1. Change to Color B
2. In the second stitch from the hook Sc
3. 1 Sc in each stitch to the end of the row
4. Turn

Row 11 – 14

1. Repeat Row 10 until you have 4 rows of Sc in Color B
2. Turn

Row 15

1. Change to Color A
2. In the second stitch from the hook Sdc
3. 1 Sdc in each stitch to the end of the row
4. Turn

Rows 16 to 22

1. Repeat Row 15 until you have 8 rows of Sdc in Color A
2. Turn

Rows 22 to 108

1. Repeat Row 10 to 22 unitl you have 10 sets of dark and gray rows
2. Turn

Edging

Edge Row 1

1. Change to Color B
2. 1 Sc 1st side of the blanket
3. Ch  1
4. Rotate blanket 45 degrees
5. 1 Sc 2nd side of the blanket
6. Ch  1
7. Rotate blanket 45 degrees
8. 1 Sc 3rd side of the blanket
9. Ch 1
10. Rotate blanket 45 degrees
11. 1 Sc 3rd side of the blanket

Edge Row 2 – 4

1. Repeat Edge Row 1 until you have 4 rows of Sc in Color B
