For the Cake
- 1 package German chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup of butter milk
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
For the Layers
- 2 packages chocolate mouse
- 2 tablespoons of Amaretto
- 2 containers frozen whipped topping (cool whip), thawed
- 2 8oz bags of heath bar English toffee bits
Make the Cake
- Preheat the oven to 350
- Put the cake mix in your mixing bowl
- Add in the buttermilk, vegetable, oil, and eggs
- Beat until moistened – about 30 seconds
- Increase the speed to high and beat until thick – about another 2 mins
- Pour into a thin flat baking sheet
- Let the cake cool and pierce with a fork
For the Layers
- Meanwhile, make the chocolate mouse
- Drizzle the 2 tablespoons of Amaretto into the holes in the cake
- Cut the cake into 1 inch cubes
- Layer in a clear bowl crumbled cake, mouse, cool whip and heath bar
- Repeat to the top, ending with a cool whip layer toped with heath bar
