How to create the Clouds & Ombre Raindrop Garland

These clouds and raindrop garland decorations were great for the baby sprinkle that I threw for my friend’s second baby. They are surprisingly easy to create.

What You Need:

  1. 4 “bags” of Fake Holiday Snow
  2. Fishing Wire
  3. Needle
  4. Scissors
  5. Double Sided Tape
  6. Large Heart Punch
  7. Card stock paper in:
    1. White
    2. Light Blue
    3. Medium Blue
    4. Surf Blue
  8. Removable Hanging Clips

  What You Do

Step 1: Ball up the snow

  1. Gather up a basketball-sized mass of fake snow and shape into a pretty cloud.

Step 2: Get the clouds ready to hang

  1. Thread the needle with the fishing wire
  2. Create a loop through the cloud and secure it with a knot.
  3. Create another loop through the cloud making sure you have enough loops to hang the the cloud evenly

Step 3: Cut out the hearts

  1. Using the heart punch, punch out 50 hearts of each color
  2. Fold each heart in half

Step 4: Fasten the drops to the garland

  1. Cut a 6 foot piece of fishing wire
  2. Take a darkest blue “drop”, point part facing the end of the wire and fasten it 12 inches from the end with double sided tape
  3. Leave 6 inches empty and attach another drop
  4. Repeat the process until you have 5 of each color blue drop (going from darkest to lightest color blue)

Step 5: Hang the garland and clouds from the ceiling

      1. Hang the drop garland evenly spaced from the ceiling (I used these clips)
      2. Then hang the clouds
