How to create the Cloud & Rain Cake Topper

This cloud and raindrop cake topper looks great on the double chocolate cloud cake!

What You Need:

  1. Light Blue Baker’s Twine
  2. Petal Punch-L
  3. Card stock paper in:
    1. White
    2. Light Blue
    3. Medium Blue
    4. Surf Blue
  4. Bamboo Skewers
  5. Scissors
  6. Double Sided Tape
  7. Cloud Punch- XL

  What You Do   

Step 1: Cut out the clouds & drops

Cut out the clouds &; drops
Using the cloud and drop hole punches, “punch” the following

  • 4 clouds
  • 6 medium light blue drops
  • 6 medium medium blue drops
  • 6 medium surf blue drops

Step 2: Attach the two pieces of twine

Attach the two pieces of twine
  1. Cut two pieces of 8 inch twine
  2. Attach the twine to the top of the bamboo skewers so that the bottom one is a little longer than the top
  3. Twist the end of the twine around the skewers and using a piece of double sided tape make sure the cord is well adhered to the sticks

Step 3: Put the drops on the cord

Put the drops on the cord
  1. Using a small piece of double sided tape take 2 of the same color drops
  2. Repeat the process alternating the process so you have a row of drops on each piece of twine

Step 4: Add the clouds

  1. Using a small piece of double sided tape put 2 clouds on either side of the skewers.
  2. Repeat the process on the other skewer.

Step 5: Add to your cake

  1. Insert the skewers into your cake on a slight angle.
  2. Enjoy!
