What you need
- 3 egg whites
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups almond paste
- 1 cup almond slivers

What you do
- Preheat the oven to 350°.
- In a medium bowl, beat egg whites and sugar until fluffy, almost a meringue consistency.
- Mix in almond paste until well combined.
- Using a spoon or cookie scoop, place balls of dough on parchment lined cookie sheets.
- In the center of each cookie, place 5 almond slivers in a star formation, with the tips touching in the middle.
- Bake for 15 mins. – remove from oven when cookies start to brown on the edges.
- Pull parchment paper onto wire racks and allow to cool completely before removing from paper.
